KOLCHITSKIY, Nikolay was born in 1890.
1910 graduate theological seminary. 1914 graduate Moscow Theological Academy as Candidate of Theology.
1914 took holy orders. Until 1923 served in Khar’kov, then transferred to Moscow as dean, Church (now Patriarchal Cathedral) of the Epiphany. 1945 accompanied Patriarch on trip to Egypt and Palestine.
1948-1949 - on tour of Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. 1954 sent to England, Germany, Belgium, et cetera 1953 member, Russian Orthodox Church deleg at funeral ceremonies for Stalin.
Stood in honor guard at Stalin’s tomb. Took part in Moscow dialogue between United States National Council of Churches of Christ, the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian churches in the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. 1949, 1950 and 1952 dcleg All-Union Peace Conference.
