1922 graduated Tiflis Polytechn. Institute.
Career
From 1922 assistant professor, Chair of Private Farming, Tiflis Polytech Institute. 1928-1933 assistant professor, associate professor, then professor, Chair of Crop Farming, Timiryazev Agric Academy, Moscow. 1932-1941 professor, All-Union Academy of Socialist Farming.
From 1941 again professor, Timiryazev Agric Academy. From 1959 dean, 1st Faculty, Moscow Oblast Kolkhoz University. Did research on the biology, taxonomy and agrotech of field crops.
Bred several strains of quick-ripening alkaloid and non-alkaloid lupine, quick-ripening soya, quick-ripening barley for the Northern regions, etc.
