1909 graduate teaching course. 1932 graduate Mari Teachers’ Training Institute.
Orphaned at an early age and worked as a farmhand and shepherd. 1906 began to write verse. From 1909 worked as a teacher.
Wrote poems about nature and the 1917 October Revol. Translated verse by North.A. Nekrasov, I.S. Nikitin and Authorised Version Kol’tsov into Mari. In late 1930's arrested by People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs;BuM: poem “Change of Life” (1918).
