1922 graduate Khar’kov Medical Institute.
1922-1940 intern, head of x-ray section, department head, clinic head and deputy sci and therapy director, 1940-1966 director, Ukraine (M. I. Sitenko) Research Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology. 1925 — 34 assistant professor, 1934-1940 associate professor, 1941-1966 head, Chair of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Khar'kov Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training. 1937 defended candidate thesis.
1940-1941 and 1955-1956 chief ed, journal “Ortopcdiya, travmatologiya i protezirovaniye”. 1941-1945 chief surgeon, various evacuation hospitals. Also chief surgeon, Karaganda Oblast and Volga and Khar’kov Military district.
1945 founded first Ukraine Prosthetics Research Institute in Khar'kov. From 1945 chairman, Khar’kov Medical Social and Khar’kov Oblast Social of Traumatologists and Orthopedic Surgeons. Also chairman, Orthopedics Commission, Learned Medical Council, Ukraine Minister of Health.
Board member, All-Union Surgeons’ Social. Chairman, Ukraine and deputy chairman, All-Union Social of Traumatologists and Orthopedic Surgeons. 1950 and 1952 delcg, 16th and 17th Congresses of Communist Party Ukraine.
Deputy, Ukraine Supreme Soviet of 1955 convocation. Devised several original osteoplastic operations and designed new orthopedic equipment. Did research on the transplantation and regeneration of bone tissue under experimental conditions.
Also studied bone fractures and prosthetics. Wrote over 100 works.
Correspondent member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Medical Sciences from 1957. Communist Party member from 1946.
