1906-1908 conducted revol propaganda in Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party high-school and military organizations in Vladikavkaz. December 1911 arrested and exiled. 1912-1917 exiled in Irkutsk Province, where he worked as a teacher. 1917 returned to Khar’kov.
