1913 defended doctor’s thesis on blood lesions with tapeworm. From 1926 professor of propedeutics, Medical Faculty, Centr Asian University. From 1930 head, Chair of Infectious Diseases, Centr Asian University.
From 1939 headed a chair of infectious diseases in Leningrad. Specialized in therapy, resort treatment, early diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, and prevention of epidemics among troops. Expert on brucellosis and typhus.
Devised pathogenetic classification of clinical forms of brucellosis and methods of vaccine therapy. Trained a great number of specialists, many of whom later headed chairs of infectious diseases. Wrote over 80 works.
