After graduate stayed on at Academy for postgraduate studies. Worked for Chair of Eye Diseases, then Chair of Acute Infectious Diseases. 1901 defended doctor’s thesis.
From 1902 intern, Tiraspol’ Military Hospital. Transferred to Caucasus as a result of his libera] attitude to the troops and only two years later returned to Tiraspol’. From 1911 senior assistant professor, Chair of Acute Infectious Diseases, Military Medical Academy.
1915 took part in anti-epidemic campaigns in the Caucasus and Iran, and 1916 in Turkestan. From 1921 professor, Chair of Infectious Diseases, State Institute of Medical Knowledge. 1923-1929 pro-rector, above institute
From 1924 professor, Chair of Infectious Diseases, Military Medical Academy. Studied pathophysiology of various infectious diseases. Studied and described clinical treatment of typhus, pathogenesis of tetanus, clinical treatment of influenza, immunity and anaphylaxia.
Extremely well versed in microbiology, parasitology, physiology, pathoanatomy, et cetera Wrote over 50 works.
