1915-1916 worked for underground Bolshevik organisation in Kiev. April 1916 arrested; April 1917 moved to Vinnitsa to head Vinnitsa City Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Committee. Member. Western—Eastern Kray Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Committee.
October 1917 chairman, Vinnitsa Revol Committee. Then underground work. 1919 chairman, Podol’ye Province Executive Committee and member, Podol’ye Province Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine.
Worked for Central Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine as head, Department for Rural Work. From October 1920 chairman, Podol’ye Province Revol Committee. From 1921 secretary, Poltava Province Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine.
Then exec Party work in Ukraine, Northern Caucasus and Far East. Foreign a number of years senior posts with Communist International Executive Committee. Delegation at 16th All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Congress.
Member, All-Russian and All-Ukraine Central Executive Committee of several convocations. Arrested by State Security organs.
