1920 studied at Moscow Medical Institute. 1925 graduate Leningrad Teachers’ Training Institute.
Career
1910 moved to village Sernur, Vyatka Province with his familiy. Contributed to children's magazines “Yozh” and “Chizh”. 1938 arrested by People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs.
Subsequently held jobs as construction worker and draughtsman in Soviet Far East, Altay Kray and Karaganda. 1946 returned to Moscow. Translated Goethe, Schiller, Lesya Ukrainka, Shota Rustaveli, David Guramishvili, etc into Russian.
