Nikolay Mitrofanovich Trostyanskiy was born on March 26, 1935, in Voronezh, Russian Federation.
Nikolay Mitrofanovich graduated from the school for boatswains and cabin boys (1952, Sovetsk, Kaliningrad region). He also graduated from the department of choral conducting of the Voronezh College of Music (1959) and from Moscow State Art and Cultural University (1972).
Nikolay Mitrofanovich worked on the ships of the Baltic Fleet (1952-1953). He worked as electrical fitter (1953-1954, Voronezh), the head of groups of amateur artists (1957-1960), the art director of the song and dance ensemble "Shinnik" at the Culture House of Voronezh Tire Plant (1960-1977 ). Nikolay Mitrofanovich was an Artistic Director of the Vocational School № 17 (1977-1978). Since 1978 he began teaching in additional education in the Voronezh Industrial and Technological College.
Nikolay Mitrofanovich is the author of many songs, romances, suites, music for plays, music for the film "Voskresshaya molitva" (gold medal at the 7th All-Russian festival "Orthodoxy and Television", 2001, Moscow). Member of the Art Council of the Voronezh State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after K.I. Massalitinov. Member of the ensemble "Vesennie zori", a member of the jury of various city, regional, all-Russian festivals, and competitions.
