Nittoku Nittoku was a Buddhist priest. Commonly called Tamemori Saemon-no-jo Endo. Followed Emperor Juntoku into exile to Sado Island (1221).
Nittoku Nittoku was born in 1189.
After the death of the Emperor, he and his wife donned holy robes and for 30 years attended the Emperor's tomb. Later becoming a follower of Nichiren, he founded the Myohoji temple in Sado Island. When Nichiren was exiled to Sado Island he became his ardent disciple.
