No-Oe-no-O Yamashina was born in the 7-th century in Japan. He was the son of Prince Shotoku.

Career
According to the records of Truka Soga, the nephew of Emperor Jomei, who was anxious to make his cousin Prince Furuhito-no-Oe an heir to the throne, and suddenly attacked him at Ikaruga Palace. Yamashiro, together with his family members, however, escaped the trap and fled to the Ikarugadera Temple (former name of Horyiiji Temple) where they killed themselves. After this the Yamashiro family became extinct.
