Nobutaka Oda fought the Saigas in Kii (Wakayama Prefecture) (1573), was given a fief in Shikoku (1578) and attacked Priest Kosa in Kii Province. When his father was killed at the Honnoji Temple (1582), he led his forces to Osaka, where he was joined by Hideyoshi Toyotomi. They together attacked Mitsuhide Akechi at Yamazaki and defeated him.
