Career
He enjoyed the confidence of Emperor Goshira-kawa and was appointed Supreme Police Chief. Although he wanted to be General of the Left Guard, he was balked in his bid due to the obstruction of Michinori Fujiwara. Nobuy, therefore, attempted to get rid of MicJtimori with the help of Yoshitomo Minamoto, the great warlord who had grievances against the Court. This developed into the war of the Heiji Era in 1159. He was defeated and put to death at Rokujo Kawara in Kyoto.
