Nolan was originally from Missouri, United States.

Education

Facing family issues, Nolan ran away to Ozanam Boys Home of Kansas City. Nolan joined the Navy’s journalism school. Nolan continued college earning a Masters Degree from Stanford University in1968.

Career

Nolan worked for the Navy Newspaper, the Amphibian. He worked for Newsweek, The Evening Tribune, Fleet Home Town News Center(Director of media research), SHARC productions, Economic Opportunities Commission of San Diego County, San Diego, CA(Director of Public Relations), KNXT-TV, KABC-TV, and other news stations.
