Membership

First social worker in Republic of South Africa. Banned under Suppression Communism Act 1962-1975. Twice charged for contravening banning order 1967.

Detained under Secretary 6 Terrorism Act 1969 and held in solitary confinement for 17 months. Acquitted 1970; banned and placed under house arrest 1970. Charged a number of times for breaking banning orders and received suspended sentence for communicating with another banned person 1971.

Detained under preventive detention clause of Internal Security Act., 1976. Banished to Phatakahle, Brandfort, Orange Free State, 1977. Subsequently served with banning orders, 1982-1983.

Banning orders under review, 1986. Member National Executive Federation of Republic of South Africa.
