Norma has also been included in The International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England, in the Dictionary of Biographies, and the Dictionary of 2000 Intellectuals in the World.. In July 2004, Norma received an award from Rosa Parks and Morris Dees from the Committee on Tolerance. She was cited for her ongoing fight against racism, intolerance and hatred among the races. Norma also received a Certificate of Appreciation from Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison for the same deeds. Rosa Parks informed Norma that her name: Ms. Norma Holmes Martin was going to be included on the Wall of Tolerance in the Civil Rights Museum in Montgomery, Alabama. Norma’s certificate denotes this inclusion. In 2003, Norma was profiled and became an intregral part of a documentary entitled "Out of the Box" by Maureen O'Neil set in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Bruce Springsteen's stomping ground. The documentary on DVD celebrates Women and the Women's Art Festival. The background for Norma's interview was her booksigning at El Lobo Negro Art Gallery and Diva's Booknook. Norma was joined by fellow artists like herself, and playwrights and actors. The DVD is available through Maureen O' Neil. She is a Distinguished Member of The International Society of Poets, and a contributor to The World's Largest Poem of Peace, with the piece entitled ‘The End of the Perpetual Lie being witnessed equals Peace’. She has been inducted in The Library of Poetry's, International Poetry Hall of Fame. When Norma was in 5th grade, she placed first in the national C.U.D.A. (capacity understanding development aptitude) test.
