Career
McLeod played four times for Canada, in 1957 he was selected to Canada"s first ever World Cup team and scored Canada"s first ever goal in World Cup competition against the United States in Toronto. He later played for the PCSL"s Vancouver Canadians. He first played for the British Columbia All-Stars in 1957 and scored one of the goals when the team beat Tottenham Hotspur.
He eventually played 14 times for the British Columbia All-Star team against teams like Hearts, Admira Vienna, West Bromwich Albion, Municipal Lima, Zenit Leningrad, Birmingham City, Toronto City, Sheffield United, Red Star Belgrade, N ottinghamshire Forest and Hibernian.
In April 2005 McLeod was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame.
