Career
De Mesquita spearheaded the growth of ice hockey in the United Kingdom during the 1950s. From ca.1972 until 1975 de Mesquita produced and presented a seasonal British Broadcasting Corporation Radio London series titled The Play"s the Thing, a fortnightly review of London"s amateur theatre scene. His death from a suspected heart attack was announced on 29 July 2013, at the age of 81.
