Background
Ntombikayise Mahaye was born, bred, and buttered in Nkandla, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
Daughter of Mr. John "Masoswidi" and Mrs. Jennet Mahaye.
She is a mother to a beautiful 4-year-old daughter Mphoentle Mahaye.
She holds a Ph.D. degree in Genetics from the University of Pretoria.
She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Agricultural Research Council where her research focus is to develop a more affordable universal pathogen test by removing the largest component of the host DNA/RNA, prior to metagenomic sequencing, thus improving the sensitivity for microbial detection.
