Ogawa Kinnosuke practiced the Hokushin Ittoryii school of fencing and then joined the Butokukai Hq., Kyoto. Was appointed an instructor at Military Arts School and soon established himself as an expert fencer (1908). After the end of World War II, he has been active in fencing circles together with Saimura and Mochida and is classed among the leaders in bis field.
