Okada Haruo graduated from Otaru Higher Commercial School.
Career
Okada Haruo entered politics after the end of the war as a member of the Socialist Party, but was expelled in 1948 for protesting against the budget draft as presented by the Ashida Cabinet. Thereupon he joined the Labor Farmer Party and has been elected to the House of Representatives eight times. Okada was chief of Youth Department of the Socialist Party and a member of the Labor-Farmer Party's central executive committee.
