Okada studied the doctrine of Chutze, the Chinese philosopher as well as medicine.
Career
Okada was an instructor at the Shoheiko, the Shogunate college in Edo. He and Ritsuzan Shibano were Confucian lecturers to Shogun Ieyoshi Tokuirawa. He was promoted to a magistrafe and distinguished himself in administration.
Personality
Commanding high respect of the people, Okada was not allowed to retire for several years after he had offered to resign.
