Career
He played for Galatasaray, Internazionale, Beşiktaş, and İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. In 2001, he was signed by Italian Serie A club Internazionale, we he played for three years. He played two seasons for Beşiktaş before returning to Galatasaray in 2006.
After his contract expired with Galatasaray, Okan joined İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor in July 2008, retiring two years later.
International career
He scored Turkey"s opening goal of Euro 2000 in a 2–1 loss to Italy in Arnhem. At the 2002 World Cup, Okan made his only appearance as a substitute in the 3–1 defeat of host nation South of Korea in the third-place play-official
