1885 graduate high-school. 1896-1897 attended courses on experimental pedag and natural sci at Sorbonne.
Spent childhood and youth in Tiflis. 1885, after graduate from high-school, founded a Sunday school for a hundred pupils with the aid of a youth group. 1888 founded the ’’Cheap Library” with which Gorky and Kalinin were associated.
Studied pedag and taught 8th grade at a women's high-school. 1904 taught at workers' courses in Prechistenka district, Moscow and at Vyazemskaya’s private high-school. 1904 arrested for rcvol activity and exiled to Podol’sk, where she continued teaching.
1906-1909 worked at P. Maksimovich’s Women-Teaehers' Seminary, Tver’. Exiled from Tver’ and lived in Tarus, Kaluga Province, until 1917. After 1917 October Revol resumed educational and cultural work.
1918 worked in Kursk. 1921-1922 taught in Tomsk. 1923-1924 cared for homeless children in Moscow.
From 1920 also worked for Main Polit Education Board. Regular contributor to pedag journals Svobodnoye vospitaniye, Obrazovaniye, Vestnik vospitaniya, Vestnik prosveshcheniya, and Na putyakh k novoy shkole. Also contributed to the anthology Obshcheye delo and to the ’’Free Training and Education Library”.
In 1930's emigrated to Canada, where she wrote her 3-volume book "Studies in the History of Public Education in Russia”.
