1916 graduate Odessa Ensign School.
Until 1913 mechanic in Belgrade. 1913 drafted into Serbian Army. Fought in World War 1.
1916 captured by Austrian Army, escaped and fled to Russia. 1916-1917 in Russian Army on the Rumanian Front. During 1917 October Revol joined the Bolsheviks.
1917-1920 commanded Serbian detachment of the Red Guard International Brigade. Battalion commander, 3rd International Brigade. Commanded squadron, Uon-Stavropol’ Cavalry Brigade.
Was liaison officer to Budennyy. Assistant regt commander, 1st Cavalry Army. Fought at Odessa, in the Donbas and at Tsaritsyn.
Took part in the 1st Cavalry Army’s thrust into Galicia. Displayed outstanding valor. Brilliant at cavalry raids in the enemy’s rear.
