Olga Gromyko is a Russian-writing author from Belarus. She is known for her comical fantasy novels with great amount caustic irony.

Background

Olga Gromyko was born at midnight from 13 to 14 September 1978 at Vinnitsa, Ukraine. She graduated from Belarusian State University.

Career

She used to work at the Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Minsk. Started publishing since 2003. The first books were written in the genre of comic fantasy. She is an author of Belor cycle about witch Volha, which adjoin the book "True enemies" and "Chronicles of Belor".

Works by Olga Gromyko are distinguished by irony, sometimes turning into sarcasm. The main heroes of her books are characters, which in traditional fantasy are related to as negative: witches, vampires, werewolves, dragons, trolls, manticoras and others.

Her books are also published in the Czech Republic.

Multiple winner of the festival "Звездный мост" ("Star bridge").

On the Internet Olga Gromyko is known as Ведьма (Witch) or Volha.

Now, she is a member of the Belarusian Writers' Union.
