Educated at Harrow, England. Graduate, Master of Science, University of London, England. Doctor of Medicine Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, 1875.

Career

Assistant surgeon, Franco-Prussian War, 1870-1871. Was on special service in Vera Cruz, City of Mexico, Japan and Cuba. Served in Mexico as brigade surgeon with rank of lieutenant colonel.

Was surgeon in the United States Marine Service. Doctor of Medicine United States consul general, Coburg, Germany, 1897-1904, and Sonneburg.
