Omi Toshiro was a singer. A baritone, he became popular (1949) by singing the popular song, "The Light in The Mountain Cottage," on the radio. It was followed by other hit songs including "Roses of the South" and "Hot Spring Town Elegy." Also appeared in motion pictures.
