Career
Pála started boxing at 17 under the lead of trainers January Balog and Antonín Hauer. His effort soon brought him the Czechoslovakian Junior heavyweight title. At young age, he was also trying to compete in Muay Thai and Jiu jistu.
He turned professional in Médea boxing team and alongside his trainer Yuri Krivoruchko, he became one of the top prospects in the heavyweight division.
However, in March 2012, he surprisingly lost to Konstantin Airich and his promising career suffered a lot. Pála was thinking about the retirement, but eventually returned to the ring.
After two relatively easy fights, he was expected to fight IBF number 1 contender Kubrat Pulev. After the negotiations went down, he got offer from former WBC world title contender Dereck Chisora.
Pála had a great start in this match, having two great rounds.
In the third round, the referee stopped the match when Pála got into the corner and turned his back after the big pressure from Chisora.
