MAGIDSON, Onisim was born in 1890.
1913 graduated Moscow University.
Developed methods of synthesizing sulfonamides, antimalarial agents (based on quinoline, acridine and other heterocyclic systems), somnifacients, anesthetics, cardiovascular drugs, vitamin preparations, etc., still used in the Soviet chemopharmaceutical industry. Developed an absorption method of extracting iodine from borax water which was widely used in organ, of Soviet iodine industry. Holds some 60 patents.
