Orinoshin Tanaka worked as reporter of Tokyo News Agency and Yomiuri Shirnbun (newspaper). Then operated a lumber company.
Orinoshin Tanaka was engaged in the buraku (Eta class) liberation movement. He was elected member of the House of Representatives five times. He served on Central Executive Committee of the Japan Farmers Party Central Executive Committee of the former Left-Wing Socialist Party, and became chairman of the Diet Postal Service Committee.
