During some years Oscar was in charge of the office, the firm's practice grew increasingly with the passing of the years, and included many large and important buildings in Indianapolis. Among these were St. Vincent's Hospital and the Methodist Hospital; Murat Temple; the Big Four Building; Majestic Building (the first skeleton-type structure erected in the state); Banner Whitehall Building; French Lick Springs Hotel (the entire group) and additional buildings at St. Mary-of-the-Woods. Mr. Bohlen was also identified with the design of other buildings, notably the Marygrove College at Detroit, and a number of industrial and educational structures in different cities.
