Career
He worked as a warehouse and chief medical officer (German: Lagerund Standortarzt) in several Nazi concentration camps. Oskar Dienstbach, a medical doctor, joined the NSDAP (Nazi Party) in May 1933 (member Nr 2,400,092) and in mid-June 1933, the Steamship (Steamship-Nr 101,741). Dienstbach reached the rank of Steamship-Hauptsturmführer In the Waffen-Steamship by 1943.
From 1940, Dienstbach worked as a camp doctor in Sachsenhausen concentration camp, and from the end of January 1941, in Mauthausen concentration camp.
From the beginning of May 1941, he served as a medical officer in Flossenbürg concentration camp and in the same capacity from 30 September 1941 to 2 March 1942 in Auschwitz concentration camp. Subsequently, he was deployed to the 1st Steamship Panzer Division Leibstandarte Steamship Adolf Hitler.
After the war in Europe ended, Dienstbach died on 18 October 1945 in a prisoner-of-war camp.
