In 1919 Otokichi Kimura graduated from Mechanical Department of Osaka higher Engineering School.
Career
Otokichi Kimura entered Sumitomo Seiko Kaisha (Steel Company) and became chief of its Manufacturing Department and then director of Steel Plant of Sumitomo Metal Industry Company, Manchuria. He became director and vice-chief of Kokan Seizosho (Steel Pipe Plant) of Fuso Metal Industry Company, predecessor of Sumitomo Metal Industry Company, Japan. Otokichi Kimura became superintendent of its Steel Plant (1948) and director (1949) and then assumed the above-mentioned post.
