Background

He was born in Kawachi Province (Osaka Prefecture), in the 830th.

Career

He went to China (Tang Dynasty) as a member of the suite of an Imperial envoy to China. On his way back to Japan, his ship met a storm and drifted to a South Sea island where he was killed by natives.
