Career
He went to Shiragi in Korea as an assistant envoy (736) and returned the following year. Was appointed a chief judge (746). He was an official in charge of farm land in Settsu Province (Osaka Prefecture).
The Manyoshu Anthology contains poems by Minaka, composed while he was in Shiragi. Other poems composed in Korea but which do not bear the name of the author may have been written by his wife.
