He graduated from Agricultural Department of Hokkaido University (1914).
Career
He entered Oji Seishi Kaisha (Oji Paper Manufacturing Company) (1919) and became its director (1946), managing director (1947) and then vice president. Toured North America, Canada, Holland and Borneo inspecting forestry.
Holds additional posts of director of Pulp Industry Association, permanent director of Kami Parupu Rengokai (Federation of Paper & Pulp Manufacturers' Associations) and manager of Dai-Nippon Sanrinkai (Great Japan Forestry Association).
Vice-president of Oji Seishi Kogyo Kaisha (Oji Paper Manufacturing Industry Company) (since 1949) and vice-chairman of Japan Pulp Materials Association.
