Career
Born in Ter Aar in the Netherlands Province of South Holland on April 4, 1923. During World World War II he went into hiding to avoid deportation to Germany, in the last days of World World War II he joined the Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten and worked as a volunteer at a prison. After the war he worked as an accountant, and later starting his own firm.
In 2003 he wrote his autobiography titled Toen.
