1906 graduate Saint St. Petersburg Institute of Communications Engineer.
1909-1917 worked for Engineer Council, Russian Minister of Means of Communication. 1912-1914, together with North. A. Belelyubinskiy, designed and built railroad bridges across the Volga near Kazan’ and Simbirsk. 1914, across the Dnieper on the Kiev-Kursk Railroad.
1916-1917 across the Irtysh near Pavlodar. 1908-1921 lectured at Saint St. Petersburg (Petrograd) Institute of Communications Engineer. 1921-1936 lecturer, Tallinn Higher Technicum and founder-head, Building Materials Testing Laboratory.
1936-1950 professor, dean and head of a chair, Tallin Polytech Institute. 1946-1950 acad secretary. Department of Technical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Est Academy of Sciences.
Also director, Institute of Building and Building Materials, Est Academy of Sciences. From 1950 pensioner; developed local Est building material made from the ash of combustible shale-kuckersite. Wrote numerous sci works.
Member, Est Academy of Sciences from 1946.
