Hill, Owen Duffy was born on June 18, 1865 in Kendalia, West Virginia, United States. Son of George Washington and Rebecca Jane (Kendall) Hill.

Career

Identified with farming since boyhood, also in mercantile business, and dealer in timber and coal lands. Director Clendenin (West Virginia) State Bank. Greenback delegate, 1887, nat. convention, Cincinnati, which organized the National Union Labor Party.

Received votes of Union Labor Party, and later Peoples Party, in West Virginia Legislature for United States senator. Delegate Farmers’ National Congress, 1905, 6, 9, 11 (secretary since 1913), International Irrigation Congress, Chicago, 1911 (Executive Committee), Southern Commercial Congress, 1912, National Good Rds. Congress, Detroit, 1913.
