Career
After period of military employment, services lent to government, of North. West. Provinces, India, under which held consecutively the appointments of Civil Surgeon, Moradabad, Bareilly, Allahabad, Mussoorie, and Benares. Surgeon to Prince of Wales’ Hospital, Benares. Was for some time Medical Officer to the Lieutenant-Govemor, North-west Provinces and Oudh, and subsequently to His Highness the late Nawab of Rampur, who, in consideration of his medical skill during a serious illness, presented him with the princely honorarium of £10,000.
Delegate from the Indian Government to the International Medical and Surgical Congress at Rome, 1894.
Holds Arnott Memorial Medal, 1904. Since retirement from the Indian army practising as consulting surgeon, London.
