Took refuge in Baku, where he worked for the Baku Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Organisation Went abroad; August 1917 returned to Moscow. During October Revol led a Red Guard detachment during the storming of the Kremlin. Presidium member, Rogozhsko-Simonov district Soviet and military comissar and police chief of this distribution February 1918 sent to Eastern Front. Member, Rcvol-Military Soviet, 1st Army. From spring 1919 performed special duties for Revol-Military Council in Latin (later 15th) Army. Comissar, 11th Rifle Division during battle of Pskov. 1920 comissar, 143rd Brigade, 16th Army.
