Pascal worked as a laboratory assistant in Alko Ltd. in Helsinki, Finland from 1992 to 1993. In this year he worked as a trainee at the Unit Biology and Neuromuscular Pathology at the Hospital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, France. He worked there for a year. In 1994 he became a military scientist in LIRBA, Molecular Biology Laboratory, Ecole Normale Supérieure in Cachan, France. He worked there until 1995.
From 1999 to 2000 he worked at the postdoctoral human genetics laboratory of transcriptional regulation and genetic diseases in Paris, France. From 2000 to 2003 he worked at the Department of Vertebrate Genomics, Max-Planck Institute Molecular Genetics in Berlin, Germany. In 2003 he worked at the Department of Oncology at the Harité Hospital in Berlin, Germany. He worked there until 2005. Since 2006 he was a project manager of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, European Bioinformatics Institute in Hinxton, England, and European Molecular Biology Laboratory-European Bioinformatics Institute in Hinxton, England.
