Career
He enjoys working with actors to build his scripts, adding selections of improv while shooting his stories, and considers editing as being part of the cinematic writing process. Fresh out of film school at the age of 22, Demers traveled around the world alone over 6 months at a time with a handheld camera for Louisiana Course destination monde (Radio-Canada Television) and started shooting. Jaloux (aka Jealous or Suspicions) (2010) was his first feature film.
The independent movie was produced by Productions Kinesis and was selected by the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and by the Toronto International Film Festival while also opening the Canadian Front at the Museum of Modern Art in 2011.
