Career
Hubert pitched for Texas Agricultural and Mechanical from 1949-1951. He was inducted into the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1980. After he left Texas Agricultural and Mechanical, Hubert played semi-professional baseball on the Plymouth Oilers, located in Sinton, Texas.
He coached baseball to hundreds of children in the Kleberg County area for over 40 years, with his involvement in the Little League Program.
After graduation from Veterinarian School in 1952, Hubert served in the United States Air Force. and a former president of the local Rotary Club. After retiring, Hubert taught at the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical Veterinarian School from 1954 through 1958.
After teaching, Hubert ranched, farmed and pursued his veterinary practice. In 1994, the Kleberg and Kenedy County Junior Livestock Show was dedicated to the Veterinarian.
In 2000, he was named an Outstanding Conservation Rancher.
Upon his death the Texas Senate passed a Resolution in his honor.
