BLAIR, Patrick James was born in 1865. 2nd son of late Patrick Blair, formerly Puisne Judge at Kingstown, Jamaica, and later Sheriff-Substitute at Inverness.

Education

Studied at Chanonry School, Old Aberdeen. Master of Arts, Aberdeen University, 1885. Bachelor of Laws, Edinburgh University, 188S.

Heidelberg University.

Career

Admitted Advocate, Edinburgh, 1888. Called to English Bar, Middle Temple, 1900. Advocate Depute for the Sheriff Courts in Scotland, 1901.

Extra Depute for the Glasgow Circuit, 1902.

Justice of the Peace, Dumbartonshire. Sheriff Substitute of Stirling, Clackmannan, and Dumbarton at Dumbarton since 1902.
