Paul Attner was born on May 9, 1947, in Concord, Massachusetts, the son of Raymond Francis and Florence (Robinson) Attner.
Paul graduated with high honors from California State University in 1969.
Paul Attner began his career in 1969 as staff writer at Washington Post. In 1984 he became a national correspondent at Sporting News, St. Louis, Missouri.
Attner also wrote some books about football. The most recent, The Packer Way: Nine Stepping Stones to Building a Winning Organization, was written with Ron Wolf, executive vice president and general manager of the Green Bay Packers since 1991. During Wolf’s eight years with Green Bay, the team won its first Super Bowl since 1967, was in five straight playoffs, and won three central division titles. Attner and Wolf cite the principles used in achieving success for the team in writing this guide for success in business as well.
Paul's other books include: The Terrapins: Maryland football (1975) and Redskin Country: From Baugh to the Super Bowl (1983).
