Deacon, 1890, priest, 1891, Protestant Episcopal Church. Assistant Church of Advent, Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, 1890-1891. Entered Associate Mission, Omaha, in charge St. Paul’s and St. John’s chs., 1891-1895.

Rector St. Luke’s Cincinnati, 1896-1904. Dean St. Paul’s Cathedral, Cincinnati, 1904-1913. Elected bishop coadjutor of Milwaukee, 1905, but declined.

Dean of Cathedral, Faribault, Minnesota, and professor Seabury Division School, 1913-1915. Consecrated bishop of New Jersey, 1915, retired, 1937. Home: Merwick, Princeton, New Jersey.
