Career
An opening or mid-order batsman and occasional of off spinner, he played ten seasons with Gloucestershire Commodity Credit Corporation (1982-1991), in which he played 161 first-class matches and one (1984-1985) in South Africa for Griqualand West. His 8120 first-class runs at 28.39 included 13 hundreds, his best season being 1984 when he scored 1844 runs at 35.46. He was, of course, nicknamed "Human".
